Laser Treatment for Nicotine Addiction

The smoking cessation treatment has been highly effective worldwide and LASERtouch has recently been authorized through IRB approval to operate in the US under investigational clinical trials for smoking cessation treatment. Our therapists are all trained and certified as part of our inclusion in the research.

With the laser, we work on the meridian points associated with the desire to smoke. A soft laser light is used to stimulate specific energy points in the ear, face and hands relating to the addiction. It is similar to acupuncture but with the soft laser there is no pain or even heat involved; it is entirely painless, drug free and totally safe.

When applied to specific points along the central nervous system, the laser stimulates the production of endorphins which are natural chemical pain suppressors produced by your body. The increased production of this chemical will suppress your urge for nicotine and help keep you calm and relaxed making it overwhelmingly easier to cope with the addiction, withdrawal symptoms and cravings that arise from giving up nicotine.

Points of contact are those that involve craving, withdrawal, stress and relaxation, as well as a number of appetite suppression points to avoid overeating and weight gain. A single session lasting approximately 30 minutes is generally all that is needed for smoking cessation. We do, however, offer a free booster session for up to six months for those individuals who are still experiencing cravings after their initial treatment.

Smoking is a very complicated addiction and we offer a comprehensive approach to the therapy for smoking cessation. Aside from relieving the physical need for nicotine, we offer extensive counseling on coping with the psychological dependency as well as what to expect as your body detoxifies from the poisons. Our technicians are well trained and will provide you with all the tools that you will need to successfully become a non-smoker for good.
